Georgian Colonial

ON DUVALL CREEK

THE TRADITIONAL use of an axial center hall provides a waterfront view from the moment the owners and their visitors open the front door. Inspired by the American Colonial style, the home is articulated throughout with raised paneling, millwork, railings, and wide wood strip flooring. Casually elegant, the connected kitchen, dining, and living rooms are accented with calming shades of turquoise, aqua, and green. At the rear, a large screened-in, slate-floored porch leads to a broad terrace and waterside activity area including the pool, which is bordered by oak leaf hydrangea. Additional amenities are the wine cellar and mudroom, which are connected to the kitchen. Two staircases lead to the second floor, which accommodate five bedrooms and a laundry area. Extensive organizational strategies were incorporated to support a robust household of five. The house also includes a home office and in-law suite above each of the two garages.
