Engaged communication and partnership with the owners and architect of record thus created a unified vision of stylish practicality in harmony with the Queen Anne architecture. 

The scope of work comprising this beguiling environment brought wall coverings, calming color palates, tile and countertop selections, light fixtures, upholstery, and furnishings together to support an active family lifestyle and delight the eye. A clever design for temperature-controlled wine storage is built into the dining room making a passion convenient to share and enjoy. The bedrooms likewise are an appealing balance of design sensitivity and ingenuity. Texture, pattern, and geometry merge to enhance and personalize each space in the house. From the Tinta starburst pattern by Robert Allan Duralee for the blinds and drapes in the family/breakfast room to durable denim chair coverings, to custom built-ins and a considered place for everything, good taste and good sense are evident throughout.

Meticulous artisanal stonework defines this house as do other rich details. A covered walkway with a mahogany barreled ceiling link the house to the three-car garage with guest suite above; the club room’s custom walnut floor with parquet pattern; the hand-forged antiqued brass railing on the curved stair and balcony; and the timber trusses and stone fireplace of the great room all contribute to the overall character and presence of the house. 

Kitchen cabinets in a bold blue serve up appealing contrast in the home’s extended kitchen while classic lighting fixtures add style and warmth to the space. High ceilings and large windows throughout create a light, spacious feeling while moldings and millwork organize and humanize each room. The well-proportioned master suite with built-in wardrobes, coffered ceiling, and spa bath instill sophistication and serenity. The monochromatic color palette imbues cohesion and evokes a quiet ambiance.
