Private Residence in Davidsonville, MD

This 5,500 SF home has an exterior that incorporates large-scale steep-sloped roofs with a flared shingled base creating a modern interpretation of a traditional shingle-style home. The formal front entrance commands the best vista to the fields and woods beyond. An interior hallway connects the formal front entrance to a second, more casual entrance and leads to all rooms on the first floor. The great room incorporates the large kitchen with a cozy living area featuring a handsome stone fireplace and opens to a screened porch. The kitchen features a large center island with casual seating and opens to a wrap-around porch that welcomes guests with peaceful views over the fields and historical tobacco barns. Office space on the first floor is shared by the Owners. If the need for expansion arises in the future, the formal dining room can be easily converted to a bedroom. The second floor has five full bedrooms and three baths with dramatic sloping ceiling planes under the steep roof and more sweeping views across the country fields.
