South Street

This mixed use project proposal was developed for a site located one block from the historic Annapolis State House Capitol building. In an attempt to increase public parking on City-owned property, as well as develop the airspace above, our client was inspired to create a mixed use project of professional offices and condominiums and submitted a proposal to the City of Annapolis Government for consideration. The project consisted of approximately 14,000 SF, as well as a proposed three-story robotic garage under the building. The historic district design restrictions prevented any height in the structure, so the design was stepped back to reduce height at the immediate street edge and create the required cornice line. Sited directly opposite a new residential condominium development, the project intentionally reflects both the character and scale of the historic fabric combined with a modern and sleek sense of design.
