Founded in 1961, Providence Center provides services that allow individuals with developmental disabilities to enjoy increased self-determination in leading a more independent, valuable and functioning role in society. Purple Cherry Architects assisted Providence Center with a feasibility study for the conversion of an existing 20,000 SF warehouse located in Millersville, Maryland and provided full architectural and engineering services for the interior design and space planning. The space includes offices, exercise room, teaching rooms, multi-media room, wood shop, craft rooms, computer lab, sensory stimulation rooms, nurse’s office, assembly room and storage space. We also are assisting Providence Center with extensive renovations of their existing 22,000 SF headquarters facility in Arnold, Maryland. In addition to the rooms above, this space includes senior living and activity rooms and a horticulture room.
